The Camatta Ranch, where the Lazy Arrow operates, is located in the oak-studded hills of San Luis Obispo county. The name Camatta, which means “comet” in Spanish, is truly a star from heaven to those who have witnessed its natural beauty first hand. Stay in our guest houses and experience ranch life to it’s fullest.
This 32,000 acre ranch has been a cattle ranch since Mexican land grant days. Enjoy, over 250 exotic animals, including buffalo, that live throughout the ranch. Lazy Arrow activities include; animal feeding tours, safari tour of ranch and fossil hills, bottle feeding and picking up chicken eggs, hiking, biking, gardening and more.

The Camatta Ranch is a real working cattle and exotic animal ranch where, when the work is done, people know how to have fun. The Creston wine trail is only 15 minutes from the ranch, with great wine and olive oil tasting.
Other attractions in the area include Santa Margarita zip line (35 minutes away), shopping and world class restaurants in Paso Robles (35 minutes), Mission San Luis Obispo and Cal Poly (45 minutes) Morro Bay and the coastal communities (1 hour from ranch)
