Perfectly Blended Farm

Some farm history:

My grandfather (like his father before him) was a farmer here in Machias, NY. He married the love of his life and together, they raised 10 beautiful children. But life was not kind to this family. To the best of my knowledge, they struggled every single day. In 1961 tragedy struck and a fire took the barn, equipment, animals, etc. Yet, my grandfather rebuilt his farm and pushed on. Unfortunately, in 1967 the farm burned a second time and he left farming for good

When I grew up in the late 70’s and early 80’s, I always felt like I missed out on a different life. That farming bug called to me like it was in my was in my DNA. Those gentle whispers spoke to me softly throughout my life until I was brave enough to answer the call. At the ripe old age of 44 I decided to change my life, buy a farm and dared to call myself a farmer. It was the scariest and best decision I have ever made.

Now, Here I am 7 years in. Our farm has already seen many changes, and is ever growing. It is still scary for me, but yet exciting to see how the farm continually evolves. This year is no exception. We have added and updated so much. I believe the best is still to come.

I plan to never stop farming. I will always find a way. I love my farm like it is an extension of my own body. It breathes and lives with an amazing energy that fills my soul. My only regret was that it took me so long to find my place in this life.
