Overview
Fat Sheep Farm & Cabins offers a unique lodging experience on our working farm. We milk sheep, raise laying hens, and grow a variety of crops. We also have a few goats to take down the grass. We have been featured on the front page of the Boston Globe Sunday Travel Section and have hundreds of five star reviews on TripAdvisor, Google, and Facebook. Our guests can just soak in the unforgettable views from their cabin's private porch or participate in the farm activities that interest them.
Located on 60 acres in Hartland, Vermont, we are only 10 miles south of Woodstock and Quechee, and close to many Upper Valley tourist destinations. Whether you want to get your hands dirty or just relax in a beautiful spot in one of Vermont's hottest tourist destinations, we have what you are looking for!
We offer 5 private cabins available for your own farm stay experience. Each cabin has everything you need for an enjoyable stay on our farm including free WIFI, heat and air conditioning, and high quality linens. Some of our cabins are pet friendly. Ideal for families, romantic getaways, reunions, and wedding parties.
As a guest on the farm you're invited to share in the gifts of farm life. Guests can enjoy fresh produce from our fields and pasture raised eggs from our chickens. Kids and adults are welcome to help feed the animals, collect eggs from our chickens, milk the sheep, learn about cheesemaking, and harvest fresh vegetables (depending on season and availability). We also have 3 horse stalls available for guests that wish to bring their four legged friends with them.
Lodging
Sunset Cabin
Sunset Cabin is warm and cheery. The cabin is about 500 sq feet. Rustic barn doors open to a small bedroom with a queen bed. The bathroom has a tub/ shower combination. The living area includes a fully equipped kitchen and a comfy futon that can be pulled out into a full mattress. Sit out on the porch and enjoy the view of our growing fields and hills in the distance, sneak a peak of the sheep in their pasture on the other side of the trees, and enjoy our beautiful sunrises and sunsets. No pets allowed.

guestLull Brook Cabin
Lull Brook Cabin is spacious and comfortable. The cabin is great for families or groups of friends traveling together. This is a PET FRIENDLY cabin. The cabin is about 850 sq feet with high ceilings that make it feel even more spacious. The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen, a private bathroom with a tub/ shower combo, a comfortable size bedroom with a queen bed, a spiral staircase leading to an open loft also with a queen bed, and a sofa sleeper in the living area that has a queen mattress. Enjoy your morning coffee while sitting on an Adirondack chair on your own porch and stare out at the beautiful green Vermont hills.

Ascutney Cabin is great for couples or families with small children. This is a PET FRIENDLY cabin. The cabin is about 660 sq feet. It has a fully equipped kitchen, a private bathroom with a tub/ shower combo, a comfortable size bedroom with a queen bed, and a sofa sleeper in the living area that has a queen mattress. Enjoy your breakfast of farm fresh eggs while sitting in your little breakfast nook and stare out the big windows at the beautiful views.
