Heritage Hollow, an Experiential Farm
Stockton, Illinois
#YourFarmAwayFromHome
Overview
Exclusive award-winning farm stay within 2 1/2 hours of Chicago. Immerse yourself in as much or as little of the farm operations as you would like. Located on 30 private acres, the 1867 farm house has been lovingly restored, providing modern amenities without losing its simplistic charm. Hike through the woods under the canopy of 200-year-old oak trees, visit our prairie with stunning views of the Driftless Area's unique topography, fish in our private stocked pond, watch native wild birds at our bird feeders, take horse riding lessons on one of our trusted steeds, or just let the calm of the farm help you relax in the hammock.
Enjoy 2,000 square feet of living space with a master bedroom (king bed and en-suite bath), queen bedroom, a second bathroom, living room with a smart tv and housewide wifi, queen pull out bed off the dining room, and gas fireplace next to the kitchen (which has everything furnished but the food). diy omlettes from the fresh eggs you gather from the chicken coop daily.
Love animals? We do, too, and consider them Family. From our lesson horses to our chickens, everyone has a name and a purpose, even if it is just to cuddle. With our focus on heritage breeds (hence Heritage Hollow) we support the conservation and preservation of non-commodity livestock breeds and small scale farming practices.
Please see our website for additional information including availability, add-on experiences, guest pet guidelines, video tour and more!
Oh! How can we forget to mention lambing season! From mid-March through mid-May, the newest members of our flock arrive, and are as entertaining to watch jump and play in the house yard as they are cuddly.
Owner Aby, who lives on the property in an independent unit, can lead guests through morning and evening chore times and other immersive experiences. Or, simply let the farm's calming environment help you relax in the hammock or by the fire.
