Melody Acres

Melody Acres Ranch is a working, diversified ranch with a private fishing lake, located in the beautiful rolling hills in the Piney Woods of East Texas. We raise beef cattle, sheep, pigs, chickens, honey bees, and vegetables. We feel the soil is extremely important and use 90 trace minerals + in our soils and in the animals minerals. We love to share our knowledge  with visitors during  the  farm tour. Fresh farm eggs are in the fridge when you arrive. The longer you stay, the more  of our own ranch raised fresh meats and vegetables  are provided with your stay!! We do have some for sale as well. WE HAVE AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGER!

  The fishing lodge is spacious, open, and cozy with all everything you need to kick back and enjoy your stay. Fishing off the dock is included with your stay or you can rent the whole lake with two motorized fishing boats for your own private fishing adventure. The lake is stocked with with Bass, Crappy and Coppernose Bluegill. Visit with our animals,  take pictures, get a tour of the ranch, roast marshmallows over a campfire, grill a steak or your fishing catch on the charcoal grill while you relax and enjoy the slower pace of farm life. There’s a lot to enjoy for the whole family. Davy Crockett National Forest is nearby and offers hiking, swimming, fishing, picnicking and more. Book a train ride at Piney Woods Texas Railroad Excursions. Grapeland Safari Park is 15 minutes away for a drive-through animal viewing adventure with the kid. Salmon Lake Park in nearby Grapeland is a great place to picnic, swim or attend a summer music festival.
