Overview

Stay on a Real Wagyu Farm, Slow Down, Breathe, and Eat Well

If you’ve been craving a quiet place to land for a few days, this might be it.

Oostema Farmstead is a 117-acre working Wagyu cattle farm just outside Lynden, Washington. No crowds. No packed schedules. Just open space, fresh air, and a slower pace that feels hard to find these days.

Here’s what makes it different:

You’re not just staying on a farm, you’re staying where your food is raised.

No guests under 16 are allowed due to the nature of our working farm.

Where You’ll Stay-We keep things simple, comfortable, and quiet.

The Little Farmhouse
Private and cozy with a full kitchen. A good fit if you want your own space to fully unwind.

The Barn Cabin (Glamping)
A more rustic stay. Warm bed, peaceful nights, outdoor hot water shower, and your own space to unplug.

RV Sites
Spacious, limited spots with hookups available. No tight rows, no crowded feel.

Every stay is set up so you can relax without being right on top of other people.

The Part That Stays With You

This isn’t just about where you sleep. It’s about what you experience while you’re here.

Our cattle are raised right on this land, and many guests end up doing something simple, but meaningful:

They pick out Wagyu beef from our farm store and cook it themselves for dinner.

Maybe it’s a steak on the grill.  Maybe burgers on a quiet evening.

But knowing exactly where it came from, seeing the animals out your window earlier that day, it just feels different.

 Farmstead Market (On-Site)

Our small farm store is stocked with our pasture-raised Wagyu beef, eggs, and a few simple staples.

 This Is a Working Farm

You’ll see us out doing chores.
You’ll see cattle grazing throughout the day.
In the spring and summer, you might even catch new calves right from your window.

It’s peaceful, but it’s also real life here.
