Overview

Our educational farm located in Bloomfield, CT, just a short drive from downtown Hartford. After being passed down through the generations of our family, the 120-acre farm now hosts the 4-H Education Center nonprofit, which offers hands-on learning experiences for students in the community. Education and community engagement have been at the center of Auerfarm's mission for decades, and we're glad to be able to host guests for farm stays for an immersive farm experience. Come see our gardens and greenhouses, meet our animals, and learn some new skills!

Farm stay accommodations are offered in the Auerfarm Cabin.

During your stay, you're welcome to walk along the farm roads, pick your own seasonal crops, birdwatch and observe the native wildlife, and say hello to our goats, sheep, chickens, cows, and many more animals. The annual Fall Festival on the farm draws many people from the community for activities like hay and pony rides, lessons on making apple cider and ice cream from scratch, and exploring the corn maze. We invite you to participate in some of our educational experiences while you're here with us, including ***EXAMPLES***. There are also several nearby state parks and scenic areas for hiking and biking.
