Enjoy a spacious 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom fully furnished farmhouse situated on a regenerative farm in the beautiful Acampo countryside. Surrounded by open spaces, pastures, and scenic rural views, this home offers a unique opportunity to experience life on an active organic cattle and sheep farm while remaining close to nearby towns and amenities. We are teachers who raised our children on the farm, then moved closer to our work in the city, while keeping our farm to raise our own beef and have a calm retreat to restore us. We would love to share with others the refreshing experience that good, hard work in the country offers.
Experience the joy and the work of raising cows, sheep, and chickens on a small farm with a garden. Matt has a degree from UC Davis in International Agriculture Development and loves sharing his knowledge of plants and animal husbandry with others. Depending on the season and pasture rotation, cattle and sheep may be grazing near the home, providing a glimpse into sustainable farming practices and rural life. Guests often enjoy watching the livestock, participating in seasonal farm activities, and experiencing the peaceful rhythm of life on the farm. Guests are welcome to enjoy and harvest seasonal vegetables, herbs, and flowers, and other garden produce as available. Fresh eggs are available daily from our chickens, depending on the season (less in the winter). Grass-fed non-certified organic beef from our own herd is occasionally available for purchase at the going market price per pound.
